"I moved into Garstang this year and had been looking for a yoga teacher, luckily found Helen who was quick to reply to my emails.  Regarding exercise I knew that I needed to think differently about the type of exercise I could do due to osteoarthritis when I told my osteopath about my exercise routine with yoga he was fully supportive and each week after Helen’s session my body feels fabulous and I ache a lot less, my range of motion (especially in my hips) is improving. Helen has a calm friendly approach encouraging you to do what you can, but also suggesting various options for each movement, I love the way each week is different, which for me is a positive having attended generic classes for years which offered repetition rather than variety. This week Helen asked us to check how our bodies felt at the beginning of the class, then after it, and mine was saying thank you, I could feel a greater ease of movement and range of motion with a lot less ‘cracking and creaking’.
